![]() George grew up in a small Northeastern PA town, Germania. He has been fly fishing since the age of 6 and currently logs over 200 hours on the stream each year. Over the last 3 years he has competed in the Outdoor Life Networks Fly Fishing Masters (1st year placed 3rd as a team in the East Coast qualifiers and 2nd year placed 1st in the casting competition and 5th overall in the East Coast qualifiers), ESPN Outdoor Games (placing 5th overall in the East Coast qualifiers). During May of 2005 he was invited to a trial for the USA Fly Fishing Team. He qualified at these trials and has continued to stay in the top three at each trial over the past year. Most recently he and his team mates took the gold out of 13 teams in the first ever North American National Fly Fishing Championships! The British Teams and Canadian Teams were among the many competing for this title. Meanwhile he works for the PA Fish and Boat Commission habitat management section, is completing his masters at Penn State and conducts fly fishing clinics/programs in the East Coast area. George currently resides in Lock Haven with his wife Amidea and two golden retrievers that answer to the names Baetis and Maddison. |
